Noise Pop Culture Club is a new kind of arts and culture event within the Noise Pop experience that celebrates the creative process of visionary artists in the music, film, art, design, food and technology communities. It facilitates the discussion of new ideas and collaborations and simply put is about inspiration and the DIY indie spirit. It is also very much about the process of creating, exploring, and sharing and that’s what we collectively experience together at Culture Club.

VINYL DREAMS 2012: GALLERY OF COMIC ART ON RECORD SLEEVES
Celebrating the cross-pollination of music and comics and the long history of famous comic artists working on album covers. This intriguing installa- tion of original comic-inspired record album covers for and inspired by Noise Pop bands and fans. Enjoy works by some of the most exciting outsider artists in the Bay and join in on this DIY gallery with your own creation.

Last year’s Festival seen through the eyes of the Bay’s freshest cartoonists featured fun reviews of Yo La Tengo, The Fresh & Onlys, Kid Koala, Aesop rock, Best Coast, The Soft White Sixties, and No- bunny, by Susie Cagle, Beth Dean, Jamaica Dyer, Jus- tin Hall, Katie Longua, Roman Muradov, Amy Martin, Donna Almendrala and Greg Hinkle.
Commonly discarded materials make up Winslow’s fractal works of art and furniture emphasizing the impact and scope of the waste generated daily; to understand the nature, beauty and value of the ma- terials; to illustrate that as in nature waste = food. The ever versatile Grimes aka Claire Boucher shares her dynamic and expressive paintings with us, some seen so far as album art for Geidi Primes, Halfaxa, Darkbloom and now Visions. Come get your limited edition Grimes’ artwork at Culture Club.
